MOL mostly meets KPI targets in May

The liner carrier MOL said Friday that it has continued to meet most of its regional key performance indicator goals in May for operations, customer service, and electronic data interchange.
The company saw slight slippage in its two newest KPIs – export rail connections and documentation accuracy, both of which fell outside of MOL’s targeted goals.
In terms of U.S.-to-Asia missed vessel connections due to rail errors, MOL’s percentage was 1.5 percent, higher than its target of 1 percent.
Asia-to-U.S. documentation accuracy was 95.8 percent in May, well below the company’s goal of 99.5 percent, and down from the 98.1 percent seen in April. U.S.-to-Asia documentation accuracy was 99.4 percent, just below the same 99.5 percent target, but improved from the 98.3 percent in April.
Other KPIs for May, including truck-turn times in its three U.S. container terminals, lost call percentage, telephone wait-time, EDI (electronic-data-interchange) message processing without failure, EDI uptime, and customer setup time, all fell within MOL’s targeted range.
The company began publishing its KPI performance on a monthly basis in February.
