AirBridge Cargo, Nippon Cargo Airlines start code share agreement

AirBridge Cargo, Nippon Cargo Airlines start code share agreement    Russian AirBridge Cargo, part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, and Japanese Nippon Cargo Airlines have commenced their code share agreement for two weekly Japan/Russia/Europe flights.
   The first Boeing 747 freighter operated flight departed Nagoya Jan. 14 arriving in Amsterdam via AirBridge Cargo’s new hub in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
   Under terms of the agreement, Nippon Cargo Airlines offers space to AirBridge Cargo on its Narita services, as well as acting as the Russian airline’s general sales agent in Japan.
   “There is already a strong flow of trade between the two countries (Russian and Japan), but with Russia’s growing economy this is set to increase considerably. Reliable air cargo capacity stimulates trade between countries, and we are confident our joint venture with Nippon Cargo Airlines will have the same effect,” said Stan Wraight, vice president of AirBridge Cargo.
