Caucedo breaks productivity record at DPI port group

Caucedo breaks productivity record at DPI port group    International port group Dubai Ports International said today its terminal in Caucedo, Dominican Republic, reached a new record berth productivity June 14 of 109 moves per hour on berth. The terminal turned around the “MSC Panama” in 8.33 hours, during which the terminal handled 906 container moves.
   Net crane productivity was more than 50 moves per hour per crane, the port operator said.
   This productivity result follows a berth productivity of more than 90 moves an hour recorded at Dubai Ports-managed Constanta terminal in Romania June 8.
   Dubai Ports acquired the Caucedo terminal from CSX as part of its takeover of CSX World Terminals.
