Tasman Orient enhances Asia/Oceania services

Tasman Orient enhances Asia/Oceania services    Tasman Orient Line is upgrading its services in the Far East to Oceania trade from the new year.
   Two ships will be joining the twice monthly “North Asia” service, making six vessels performing 36 voyages each year instead of 24. A host of new port calls will be added to the service including Manila, Subic Bay, Busan, Yokohama, Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Timaru, Bluff and Tauranga. Inchon or Xingang will also be served depending on cargo requirements.
   The twice monthly “South East Asia” service will be adding calls to Port Kelang and Singapore with a call at Suva in Fiji to come in April. Previous calls at Subic Bay and Manila have been switched to the “North Asia” link.
   No changes are being made to the twice monthly “East Asia” service although its schedule is to be aligned with that of the “South East Asia” service so that the trade between Singapore, New Zealand and Fiji is covered on a weekly basis.
