New finance chief at OOCL parent

New finance chief at OOCL parent Orient Overseas (International) Ltd. said Chief Financial Officer Nicholas Sims, was retiring and would be replaced by Ken Cambie in August. Cambie will also become an executive director of the company.
   Hong Kong-based OOIL is parent company of ocean shipping line Orient Overseas Container Line.
   Sims leaves the company after seven years, during which time OOIL “further strengthened its balance sheet, built an investor following and successfully realized the value of its Terminals Division,” said C.C. Tung, chairman and chief executive officer.
   OOIL sold two container terminals in Vancouver, British Columbia, one on Staten Island in New York and one in Jersey City, N.J., earlier this year.
   Cambie joins OOIL following a 20-year career with Citigroup, most recently as a director of transportation, Asia Pacific corporate banking, and has been based in Hong Kong for the last six years. Cambie was responsible for meeting the banking and financing needs of shipping, port, airline, and airport companies throughout Asia.
