Daher to build new logistics platform near Paris airport

   The comprehensive solution comprises the building, infrastructure, information system and logistics operations, Daher said.
   Daher’s new-build logistics platform, which will largely be automated and digital, is set for the Aerolians Paris business park near Paris-CDG Airport, as part of an expanded service contract.
   Daher said its engineers are designing the building to handle the flow of spare parts and aircraft repairs, with Dassault’s Falcon business jet fleet’s long-term outlook in mind.
   Dassault and Daher’s logistics partnership dates back nearly two decades. Daher designed and currently operates a distribution platform for spare parts near Paris-Le Bourget Airport.
   Dassault Aviation spare part teams, Daher and the forwarding agent are all scheduled to work under the same roof at the facility, which the companies say will ensure the availability of Falcon aircraft parts and equipment.
   “Together we have formed a long-term strategic partnership that covers all industrial and integrated logistics services,” Daher Senior Vice President Nicolas Orance said. “As part of this new agreement, our multi-skilled teams will be supporting our customer at each step of the value chain, from supply chain engineering to achieving optimal response times for Dassault Aviation’s Falcon customers.”
   Current operations are expected to be transferred to the new depot by the end of 2018, Daher said.
