China Shipping leaves U.S./Mediterranean joint service    From mid-November China Shipping Container Lines will leave a joint weekly service with CMA CGM between the U.S. East Coast and the Mediterranean.
   CMA CGM, which operates four of the five ships in the “Amerigo Express” service, said it will continue to provide the link on its own.
   The last vessel involving the participation of China Shipping will be the “CMA CGM Rhone,” scheduled to arrive in New York on Nov. 15.
   The ships currently call at New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Miami, Cagliari, Leghorn, Genoa, Fos, Valencia, Lisbon and back to New York. It is not known whether there will be changes in the port rotation after the withdrawal of China Shipping.
   ANL Container Line, Hapag-Lloyd, Lloyd Triestino and Zim also take space on the service.
