CMA CGM PARIS OFFICE TO CLOSE IN MOVE TO MARSEILLES

CMA CGM PARIS OFFICE TO CLOSE IN MOVE TO MARSEILLES    CMA CGM is to merge its split head office functions in Paris and Marseilles by moving its Paris office staff to Marseilles in June 2002. A new office block is being built in Marseilles to accommodate the expansion.
   Around 230 staff currently work at the former CGM head office location in Suresnes, Paris, while the    former CMA head office location in Marseilles has a staff of 480.
   Around 130 marine and technical staff located in Le Havre will remain there, unaffected, and around 20 commercial staff will be required to remain in the Paris area.
   It is understood that grants encouraging relocation away from the crowded Isle de France district of Paris will reduce the cost to CMA CGM substantially.
