Africa a bright spot for Bollore    Bollore Group in France said it had fourth quarter revenue of 1.65 billion euros ($2.5 billion) compared to 1.84 billion in the same 2008 period.
   Its transport and logistics segment had revenue of 1.08 billion euros ($1.47 billion) in the fourth quarter compared to 1.11 euro in the same 2008 period.
   For the entire year, Bollore said it had revenue of 6.01 billion euros ($8.18 billion) versus 7.22 billion euro in 2008.
   The company said revenue was down because of lower petroleum prices and freight rates.
   An exception was Africa, where Bollore said, “business increased significantly in comparison with fiscal 2009, driven by the continent’s buoyant economic activity, particularly in Central Africa; this growth also reflected the high capital investments made in stevedoring and the logistics of mining and oil-sector projects.”
