CAPSTAN TO ANNOUNCE DEAL WITH COREMARKETS    Capstan Systems Inc., an online supply chain software provider based in California, plans to announce today a contract to provide landed cost applications and logistics management services on the CoreMarkets Web site for trading steel industry raw materials.
   Under the agreement, Capstan will integrate its Web application services into CoreMarket’s digital marketplace as part of the company’s Trade Services offering to members. CoreMarkets offers shipping and logistics, financing, insurance, inspection and processing. Capstan expects to complement those trade services with a system for managing international shipments.
   “Most of our raw material producers are in developing countries, while consumption points are in the U.S., Europe, Asia and South America,” said Laurence Goldfarb, vice president of value-added services for CoreMarkets. “Our traditional supply chain can have the buyer and seller, and multiple service providers participating in the transaction, all in different parts of the world.”
