CargoLogicAir receives third Boeing 747 freighter

Acquired from AerCap, the Boeing 747-400ERF cargo plane joins two other freighter aircraft in CargoLogicAir’s fleet out of the United Kingdom.    British cargo airline CargoLogicAir (CLA) has received its third Boeing 747 freighter in the last 18 months, the company said in a statement.
   The airline, based in the London Stansted Airport, took delivery of the freighter from aircraft-lessor AerCap in order to “satisfy growing demand for global charters and support its ACMI flying program for partner, AirBridgeCargo Airlines,” CLA said.
   The Boeing 747-400ERF will enable CLA to develop new route from the UK and increase the frequency of aircraft, complete crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) operations, added CEO Dmitry Grishin.
   “After a successful first year of profitable operations that was boosted by a strong peak season, we have continued to perform well in the first quarter of 2017 and remain on course to grow our fleet to five 747 freighters over the next three years as we look to increase our support of customers in the UK market,” said Grishin.
   CLA now operates two Boeing 747-400 cargo planes and a new generation 747-8 freighter.
