Singapore Airlines delays delivery of A380s    Singapore Airlines said Wednesday it has agreed to a revised delivery schedule for eight A380 aircraft on order.
   No reason was given for the delay, but many airlines have been seeking to postpone aircraft purchases because the fall in travel and freight demand associated with the global recession has hurt cash flow in an industry already struggling cost and liquidity problems.
   Under the new schedule, deliveries will be pushed back six to 12 months later than originally planned. The first of the eight aircraft will be delivered in October 2010 instead of April and the last one will be delivered in January 2012 rather than January 2011.
   Singapore Airlines already operates nine A380s, with two more scheduled for delivery this fiscal year. The airline deploys the large aircraft twice a day to London, and daily to Sydney, Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong. Daily service to Melbourne, Australia will begin Sept. 26.
