Yang Ming commences new Asia-Pakistan service

The Taiwanese ocean carrier will offer a tenth service connecting Asia with India and Pakistan, called the Asia Subcontinent Express 1 (AS1), starting in mid-January.    Taiwanese ocean carrier Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. will launch a new service between Asia and Pakistan, called the Asia Subcontinent Express 1 (AS1), starting in mid-January, the company said in a statement.
   The service will feature six vessels and a total rotation time of 42 days, said Yang Ming. The loop will extend the carrier’s coverage between North China and Pakistan with a port rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Karachi, Port Qasim, Singapore and back to Qingdao.
   According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, Yang Ming currently offers nine other services with direct connections between Asia and the Indian Subcontinent.
     • CPX: jointly operated by Yang Ming and OOCL, with a port rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou Shenzhn, Singapore, Karachi, Mundra, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai;
     • CIX: jointly operated by Simatech, Hapag-Lloyd, TS Lines, Yang Ming, Evergreen and PIL, with a port rotation of Xingang, Qingdao, Kaohsiung, Singapore, Port Kelang, Mumbai/Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore and back to Xingang;
     • WIN: jointly operated by Hapag-Lloyd, NYK, X-Press and Yang Ming, with a port rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou Shenzhen, Singapore, Port Kelang, Mumbai/Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Cai Mep, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai;
     • SCS Loop 1: operated by OEL, with a port rotation of Singapore, Port Kelang, Chittagong and Singapore;
     • SCS Loop 3: operated by OEL, with a port rotation of Singapore, Chittagong and back to Singapore;
     • SE6: operated by Yang Ming, with a port rotation of Singapore, Port Kelang, Chittagong and back to Singapore;
     • PCX mpc: operated by OEL, with a port rotation of Port Kelang, Singapore, Kolkata and back to Port Kelang;
     • EC5: A THE Alliance loop jointly operated by member carriers Yang Ming, Hapag-Lloyd, NYK and “K” Line, with a port rotation of Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Singapore, Colombo, Halifax, New York, Savannah, Norfolk, Halifax, Dubai Jebel Ali, Singapore and back to Laem Chabang; and
     • FE5: A THE Alliance loop jointly operated by member carriers MOL, Hapag-Lloyd and NYK, with a port rotation of Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Singapore, Colombo, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, London, Jeddah, Colombo, Singapore and back to Laem Chabang.
