IAG Cargo pairs with CSafe for temperature-controlled containers

   CSafe LLC and IAG Cargo have signed an agreement to expand the IAG Cargo Constant Climate service to pharmaceutical companies with temperature control requirements on their transport moves.
   IAG Cargo, a joint venture between British Airways World Cargo and Iberia Cargo, will lease active temperature-controlled containers to freight forwarders, providing them a streamlined booking and billing process while removing the need to return the unit to a supplier after its use. CSafe will provide the containers themselves on a daily, per trip, or 30-day lease basis through IAG Cargo.
   CSafe, a joint venture between AmSafe Inc. and AcuTemp Thermal Systems, said the deal is part of its efforts to expand operations through partnerships with major airlines, forwarders, and specialty couriers that it can link through a global service network. It said that the AcuTemp RKN  container is the first active temperature-controlled air container with FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, Hong Kong CAD, Irish Aviation Authority, and Israeli CAA approvals.
   “Our partnership will allow us to continue to grow our Constant Climate product across our network while meeting customer demand for heating and cooling container options and availability,” said IAG Cargo’s global product manager John Hayden. “The deal will be important in helping us remain the preferred option for our customers in the temperature sensitive freight market.”
