Bengal Tiger Lines swaps Manila/Taiwan services    Intra-Asia feeder specialist Bengal Tiger Lines (BTL) has switched Wan Hai-led services on which it participates between the Philippines and Taiwan, according to research from American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   The line was part of Wan Hai's and Evergreen Line's comprehensive JTP intra-Asia service, which connected Japan with Taiwan, the Philippines, and South China. BTL provided a vessel on the service but only used the service to connect Manila and Keelung.
   ComPair Data Research Assistant Krista LaRocca has found that the BTL vessel previously used on the service is now being operated by Evergreen, with BTL dropping out of the JTP and joining another Wan Hai service (the line's TPS service) as a slot buyer. Yang Ming also takes slots on the TPS, which has a rotation of Subic Bay, Manila, Kaohsiung, Keelung and Subic Bay. BTL is not taking space to or from Subic Bay.
