Shipco starts Houston/Nhava Sheva LCL service

Shipco starts Houston/Nhava Sheva LCL service    Non-vessel-operating common carrier Shipco Transport, along with its partner TeamGlobal, has started a direct less-than-containerload ocean freight service from Houston to India's Nhava Sheva.
   'The service was launched as a reaction to the growing volume out of the U.S. Gulf Coast area. This is now the fourth direct Nhava Sheva service from USA and the eighth direct to India,' said Niels Nielsen, Shipco's vice president of U.S. LCL export, in a statement.
   The service from Houston will offer access to Mumbai and most of northern India, as well as reduce transit time and handling of cargo. The neutral NVO also offers direct services from the United States to Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi, adding to the more than 220 direct export services from the United States to overseas destinations.
   Shipco is a subsidiary of Scan-Group, an international shipping and transportation company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with more than 2,000 employees worldwide.
