imec Messtechnik launches cloud-based cold chain monitoring device

The Germany-based data logging company introduced its latest cold chain monitoring device, tempmate.®-GS, constructed for air, ocean and road transit.    Germany-based data logging firm imec Messtechnik has launched its tempmate.®-GS device for complete monitoring of cold chain in real time, the company said in a statement.
   The device collects data and stores it via a built-in SIM card, which operates globally, and thus can transmit the data to the cloud continuously and in real-time. According to the company, the device can detect anomalies in temperature, humidity, light and impact during transit and has the ability to autonomous monitor cold chain for 90 days in real-time. 
   “The tempmate.®-Cloud helps you for further analysis and reporting, containing detailed information such as data curve, every single measurement as a table and statistical information,” the company said. It is preconfigured and reprogrammable and it constructed for use in ships, planes or trucks for food, pharma industry and logistics.
   According to the company, tempmate.®-GS is the latest and most advanced of five cold chain monitoring products from imex Messtechnik and was launched at Fruit Logistica.
