Mohawk to use Descartes for expansion, ACE compliance

The Syracuse-based logistics provider has been using Decartes’ enterprise and customs brokerage solutions to help support market growth and will now use the software provider to meet the Nov. 1 ACE deadline.    Syracuse-based logistics company Mohawk Global Logistics has begun using enterprise, brokerage and compliance document submission software from Descartes Systems Group.
   Mohawk is using Descartes’ OneView Forwarder Enterprise and Customs House Brokerage solutions to support its market expansion and will also use Descartes OneView to submit data to additional partner government agencies (PGAs)  via U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Automated Commercial Environment.

As CBP’s ACE initiative continues to roll out, we look forward to using Descartes for PGA connectivity and filings.”
   ACE was built to provide a centralized, single window for import and export data reporting to CBP and other agencies within the U.S. government. More than a dozen PGAs are scheduled for ACE implementation prior to the mandatory Nov. 1 ACE entry filing deadline, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
