SANTA BARBARA AIRLINES CARGO STARTS MIAMI/SOUTH AMERICA SERVICE    Santa Barbara Airlines Cargo said Monday it has begun daily freight services between Miami and Curacao and Aruba in the Netherlands Antilles, and the Venezuelan cities of Caracas, Valencia and Maracaibo.
   The airline will employ a seven-ton-capacity DC-10 and a six-ton-capacity AN-26 for the Miami/Curacao, Netherlands Antilles routes.
   The air carrier is also launching the “Tomorrow Program” to service cities across Venezuela, including Porlamar, Barcelona, Puerto Ordaz, Maturin, Barquisimeto and Las Piedras. Currently, no transport services are available to some of these locations. The carrier said that Customs delays encountered in Caracas means that it can take up to three days for goods to complete their journey. In response to customer demand, the carrier will provide regular flights to points throughout Venezuela using an AN-26F or an AN12F from Curacao.
   Customers in the United Kingdom will be allowed to access the airline’s extended network through MacAir Cargo, Santa Barbara’s exclusive GSA partner. The AN26 and AN12 planes are also available for ad hoc charters to other Caribbean destinations.
