Oppenheimer to address AirCargo luncheon

Oppenheimer to address AirCargo luncheon Andres Oppenheimer, the Pulitzer Prize-winning editor and columnist will be a featured speaker at the Nov. 8 luncheon of the AirCargo Americas conference in Miami.
   Oppenheimer is Latin American editor and a foreign affairs columnist with the Miami Herald. His syndicated column appears twice weekly in more than 40 English and Spanish-language newspapers in the United States and Latin America, including La Nacion in his native Argentina and Reforma in Mexico City. He is also a political analyst with CNN en Espa'ol, and is a frequent guest on PBS's Jim Lehrer News Hour. He has published four books on political and economic conditions in Latin America. He was part of the team of reporters from the Miami Herald that won a Pulitzer Prize in 1987 for coverage of the Iran-Contra affair.
   Tickets are available for the luncheon only at a cost of $50. Seating is limited, and reservations are available by e-mailing Muriel Sommers atmsommers@worldtrade.org by Friday. The luncheon will be from noon to 2 p.m. in the North Ballroom of the Sheraton Centre, 711 N.W. 72nd Ave., Miami.
   The three-day AirCargo Americas conference, Nov. 7-9, organized by the World Trade Center Miami and Miami International Airport, is expected to attract more than 3,000 international aviation and business executives from some 70 countries. Details and an agenda are available at www.worldtrade.org
