UPS expands Mexico ground freight network    UPS Freight on Tuesday announced an expansion of heavy-freight trucking service to every point in Mexico, along with faster transit times and consolidated billing for import and export transactions.
   The Atlanta-based logistics company plans to move shipments faster by using five southern border crossings (Brownsville/McAllen, El Paso and Laredo, Texas; Otay Mesa, Calif., and Nogales, Ariz.) instead of the single port of entry previously used by its Mexican trucking partners.
   It now has 40 service centers in Mexico operated by Mexican agents.
   UPS is also using its small package tracking and booking technology to create a single invoice for door-to-door customers using UPS Freight and other services such as UPS Customs Brokerage to electronically prepare customs documentation and collect duties and fees.,
   UPS also said it is widening the belt for next-day delivery to and from Toronto, Canada, to include northern Ohio, northern Indiana and Michigan. Two-day service is being extended as far south as Georgia. Transit times to the West coast will also be shortened.
