Crowley, Toyota ship 150,000th vehicle to Puerto Rico    Crowley Maritime Corp. and Toyota Logistics Services have celebrated the shipment of the 150,000th Toyota vehicle from Jacksonville, Fla., to Puerto Rico.
   Since 1992, Crowley has been the exclusive carrier of Toyota vehicles to Puerto Rico. Crowley has nine triple-deck barges, which are towed by oceangoing tugs between Jacksonville and San Juan. Each barge can carry 200 to 400 vehicles per voyage.
   'Toyota's market share in Puerto Rico was 31 percent in 2005,' said Bob Wade, Toyota's corporate manager for international logistics, at a luncheon at Crowley's Talleyrand terminal in Jacksonville Tuesday. Wade noted that damage frequency and severity on Crowley's barges had dropped to one-fourth of the levels in 2002.
   Crowley Maritime Corp., a provider of transportation and logistics services, is based in Oakland, Calif.
