Hauser honored with trade award

Hauser honored with trade award Stewart B. Hauser, chairman of the New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association Inc. was presented this week with the Global Trade Award for continuous dedication, commitment and significant contributions that have influenced the growth of trade in the New York region.
   Hauser was recognized at a breakfast for World Trade Week-New York City, a series of events hosted by the New York District Export Council and the Weissman Center for International Business at Baruch College.
   The International Achievement Award, presented to a New York City company whose goods or services have a positive effect on the global economy, was presented to Max Brenner Chocolates and Shen Milsom Wilke, an international technology consultant.
   S.S. Sampliner & Co. Inc., a Manhattan-based international debt-collection service company, received an Export Achievement Award.
   Also, the New York State Small Business Development Center at LaGuardia Community College was recognized for educating and supporting small business in “going global” with an Export Appreciation Award.
