Intermarine takes delivery of new ship    Intermarine said it had taken delivery of the first in a series of multipurpose, heavy-lift ships.
   Industrial Freedom is the first of four 'F Class' ships the company is having built in China.
   The 14,1000-deadweight-ton ships each have two 400-metric-ton cranes, combinable for 800-ton lifts, and one 80-ton standard crane.
   The have a “house forward” design to give greater flexibility for handling large modules or stacking several tiers of lightweight cargo.
   The other ships will be named Industrial Fighter, Industrial Force and Industrial Faith.

   'Although the shipping industry worldwide is in a bit of a recession, we see continued growth in the project sector, which will demand modern tonnage to meet transport requirements and schedules,” said Andre Grikitis, president of Intermarine.
   “The size of reactors, fractionators and cracking towers at refineries and chemical plants are getting bigger, and these new ships will have greater cargo intake while retaining the shallow-draft capability that allows us to service smaller ports and undeveloped areas,' he added.
