Amway to use Amber Road for visibility

The global direct selling company will use Amber Road’s supply chain visibility tool to manage air and ocean shipments, with the possibility to integrate with the company’s trade automation tools.    The direct selling business Amway will use a supply chain visibility tool from global trade management solutions Amber Road, the software company said.
   The tool is intended to improve visibility into its air and ocean shipments and improve its supply chain data reliability.
   Michigan-based Amway is a privately-held $10.8 billion company that offers a variety of products, primarily in the health, beauty, and home care markets. It operates in more than 100 countries and territories around the globe and has 20,000 employees and millions of Amway sales representatives.
   “We selected Amber Road because of the flexibility and customizability of its web-based solution,” said David Kahn, Amway sourcing manager. “In addition, the architecture platform of Amber Road’s solution suite allows Amway to easily integrate additional modules of Amber Road’s suite, such as its Trade Automation solution.”
   Amber Road’s cloud-based suite includes tools to manage trade compliance, transportation, and sourcing.
