CN suspends Vancouver cargo diversions

CN suspends Vancouver cargo diversions    Canadian National Railway Co. has suspended cargo diversions from Ocean Terminals to Inland CN Terminals at the strike hit Canadian port of Vancouver.
   According to the Vancouver Port Authority, CN has moved more than 24,000 feet (more than 1,300 TEUs) of diverted traffic from Vancouver ocean terminals in the past three weeks.
   CN has decided to decline requests for diversions because its regular import volumes from Asia arriving on the West Coast have reached a two-year high.
   “It is paramount that CN continues to protect the capacity it has committed to its primary customer base. Therefore, at this time all diversions from ocean terminals to inland CN terminals are suspended,” CN said.
