Vandenakker joined Cargill in 1987 as a grain trader and since 2003 has been in charge of the Panamax trading desk. In his new role, Vandenakker succeeds Tom Intrator, who will now lead Cargill’s newly formed energy, transportation and industrial group of businesses, alongside Norman Hay and David MacLennan.
