Weidemeyer also serves on the UPS board and the UPS management committee, the senior group responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the company. He was appointed head of UPS Airlines in 1990, after leading the development of UPS’ delivery network in Central and South America. UPS is now the 11th largest airline in the world, with 257 aircraft.
Beystehner currently is senior vice president worldwide sales and marketing for UPS. He will be replaced by Kurt Kuehn, currently vice president in charge of investor relations.
UPS also announced the retirement of general counsel and corporate secretary Joseph Moderow.
