Record November for Cargolux

   Cargolux turned out a record month in November, carrying more than 74,000 tons of freight on its worldwide network, a 27-percent increase compared with November 2012.
   In addition, the company earned revenues of more than $200 million, making November the airline’s best month revenue-wise in its history. Traffic on the airline’s European and Asian routes, especially Hong Kong, was particularly strong during this peak period.
   Cargolux benefited from the improvement in the global air cargo market, which grew in all world regions with the exception of Africa, according to IATA figures. For October, IATA notes an FTK growth of 4 percent, year-over-year, while freight volumes increased 1.3 percent globally from September to October. 
   Cargolux alone achieved an FTK growth of more than 15 percent during the first 10 months of 2013, compared with the same period in 2012.
