DANZAS ACQUIRES DANISH FREIGHT FORWARDER

DANZAS ACQUIRES DANISH FREIGHT FORWARDER    Danzas, the forwarding and logistics unit of Deutsche Post World Net, has acquired Danish freight forwarder AEI (Denmark) A/S.
   AEI Denmark, founded in 1990, will be integrated into Danzas' AEI Intercontinental Business Unit, and will operate under the name Danzas AEI Intercontinental A/S.
   Danzas said integration of the company, which employed about 50, will begin immediately and is expected to be completed by October. The new unit will offer air freight, ocean freight, project forwarding an value-added services.
   The new Danzas unit is expected to have 150 employees and will be based in Copenhagen, with offices in Grostrup, Odense, Billund, Aarhus and Aalborg.
   Christian Hoy, former managing director of AEI (Denmark) A/S, will be managing director of the new company. Torben Pagh, managing director of Danzas AEI Intercontinental prior to the acquisition, has been named director of marketing and sales. Bjarne Linneso, who was director of sales at AEI (Denmark) A/S, has been named director of air and ocean operations.
