Kenco teams up with Smart Gladiator to launch mobile app

The Chattanooga, Tenn.-based third-party logistics provider said the app increases supply chain visibility by photo-documenting shipments to improve compliance and reduce costs.    Kenco, a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based third-party logistics provider, has teamed up with Smart Gladiator to launch a mobile app that increases supply chain visibility by photo-documenting shipments to improve compliance and reduce costs, Kenco said.
   Kenco’s LoadProof app is available for both Android and Apple devices.
   “Warehouse workers, truck drivers, supervisors, or anyone involved in shipping and receiving can photograph shipments and instantly upload photos to a cloud server with supporting information about the date, time and load details,” Kenco said. “The images and info can be shared with anyone to help improve supply chain visibility, determine responsibility for issues, and prove the shipment was in good condition at the point of transfer.”
   Atlanta-based Smart Gladiator was established in 2013 to help retailers, distributors and logistics service providers mobile enable their supply chain and operations processes.
   According to the Smart Gladiator website, in addition to Kenco, other clients include Elie Tahari, Feld Entertainment, HoMedics and Simon & Schuster.
