New Indirect Air Carrier course offered In Miami

New Indirect Air Carrier course offered In Miami The Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association is offering a new training workshop on the Indirect Air Carrier Standard Security Program (IACSSP) mandated for air forwarders by the federal government.
   The FCBF has been organizing a series of classes for IACs, and association officials say the government's new IAC regulations are probably the single-most-important issue facing FCBF members this year.
   An English-language version of the workshop is being offered 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Aug. 15, at the Miami Airport Hilton. A Spanish version of the course will be held during the same hours Aug. 16 at the hotel.
   The course is being offered in collaboration with Air Cargo Security Consultants. Cost is $425 per person for FCBF members and $450 for non-members. The course contains information deemed sensitive security information by the Department of Homeland Security, so registration is limited to persons that qualify as indirect air carriers.
