SYNTRA MERGES WITH EUROPEAN PEER ISM       Syntra, a New York-based developer of international logistics software, has merged with International Software Marketing, a Europe-based provider of similar automated trade software.
      Syntra and ISM complement each other by expanding each other’s reach into the crucial U.S. and European Union shipping software markets. Syntra-ISM has nine offices worldwide, with more offices planned to open in Europe this year.
      “The merged companies will provide innovative solutions to improve the planning and execution of global commerce,” Syntra said. “Over a billion shipments, worth trillions of dollars, cross international borders each year, and the company is well positioned to be the leading provider of the services that make these transactions happen smoothly.
