RYDER TO SERVE AS LOGISTICS MANAGER FOR ARVINMERITOR

RYDER TO SERVE AS LOGISTICS MANAGER FOR ARVINMERITOR    Ryder System Inc., a Miami-based supply chain and transportation management service provider, said Tuesday it has been selected lead logistics manager for ArvinMeritor, a global supplier of integrated automotive systems, modules and components.
   Ryder will manage inbound, outbound and third-party shipments domestically and internationally for all ArvinMeritor locations throughout North America and Europe.
   Services to be provided by Ryder under the contract include procurement process support, transportation service provider management, freight bill auditing and payment, invoicing and management reporting. Ryder will also negotiate rates on ArvinMeritor's behalf with ground, rail, air and ocean transportation services.
