Diana buys 2 containerships

   Diana Containerships said Monday it has signed an agreement to purchase two containerships with capacities of 3,750 TEUs each from Reederei Santa Containerschiffe GmbH & Co. KG.
   Diana said it paid $33 million each for the 2001-built Cap San Marco and 2002-built Cap San Raphael.
   The ships are being chartered back to the sellers for a period of 36 months, plus or minus 45 days, and the net daily charter hire rate for each vessel will be $22,750 during the first year, $22,850 in the second, and $23,250 for the third, generating about $47.5 million of revenue over the three years.
   American Shipper affiliate Compair Data said the two ships are part of a string that operates between the U.S. Gulf and east coast of South America via Cartagena, which is operated by Hamburg Süd with Alianca and CCNI.
   Separately, Diana announced it has entered into an agreement for a revolving credit facility of up to $100 million with The Royal Bank of Scotland, which may be increased to $150 million subject to further syndication.
