AirBridgeCargo to add second rotation to Columbus

The airline plans to increase to a twice-weekly frequency at Rickenbacker International Airport, which moved more than 5,000 tons of cargo for the carrier in 2018.

   AirBridgeCargo Airlines announced Tuesday it plans to expand its scheduled freighter operations at Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), located in Columbus, Ohio, to a twice-weekly frequency.
   The second scheduled weekly rotation is planned to begin this month, the airline said, and will complement its existing Thursday flights from the airport. The carrier introduced Columbus to its network in 2018 and the airline’s volumes “tipped over 5,000 tons to/from” the airport in 2018, said Sergey Lazarev, general director of AirBridgeCargo Airlines, in a statement.
   AirBridgeCargo, which operates a fleet of 18 Boeing 747 freighters, serves destinations in 34 locations, including 12 in Asia, 11 in Europe and six in North America, according to its website.
