Project44 comes out on top in 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant

Visibility has been top of mind for logistics leaders over the past several years. Real-time location and condition insights became more important than ever as the coronavirus pandemic accelerated the e-commerce surge and consumer expectations around package visibility and on-time delivery skyrocketed.

At the same time, a veritable technological revolution continued across the transportation industry. This focus on high-tech solutions to age-old problems has yielded a plethora of real-time visibility solutions for shippers to choose from.

Despite the availability of solutions and the well-recognized importance of real-time visibility, however, many shippers still struggle to identify the best partners for them and their customers. 

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant stands out as one of the clearest – and most trusted – ways to evaluate the most popular real-time visibility options, providing shippers’ with a visual guide to their choices.

Gartner’s MQ ranks companies on their ability to execute and the completeness of their product vision. Depending on their scores, players are classified into one of three four categories: nice players, visionaries, challengers or leaders.

Companies classified as leaders are the highest ranked on both metrics, indicating a complete vision and the proven ability to execute it. Project44 has been classified as a leader on Gartner’s Magic Quadrant every year since the ranking product launched in 2021.

“Leaders in the RTTVP market have broad, deep and differentiated functionality that addresses a broad range of user requirements,” according to Gartner. “Leaders listen to their customers; but, just as important, their customers look to them for thought leadership, and they establish symbiotic relationships.”

While p44 has been denoted as a leader for the past three years, this marks the first year that a single vendor has been positioned highest on ability to execute and furthest right on completeness of vision, surpassing its peers in both evaluated spheres.

Gartner called out sales execution/pricing, marketing execution and market responsiveness as p44’s three greatest strengths. This was due, in large part, to the company’s standout revenue, superior brand recognition and continuous innovation efforts.
