Earlier this fall a well placed supply chain technology executive emphatically told me that “everyone is for sale right now — absolutely everyone” in this space.
I had suspected it for some time but had not been able to substantiate it with inside information until that point. Since that time, the same idea has been reiterated to me by a number of executives, which leads me to believe that 2012 will be a busy one for mergers, acquisitions and other financial events that will help reshape the supply chain IT landscape.
