A.P. Moller – Maersk appoints CFO

Trond Westlie will become group chief financial officer of A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S, and a member of the executive board, effective Jan. 1.

Westlie, 48, was executive vice president and CFO of Telenor Group, a Norway-based telecommunications and wireless company with operations in Nordic countries, Eastern Europe and Asia.    He succeeds S'ren Thorup S'rensen who resigned at the end of May, saying that after three years as CFO of A.P. Moller – Maersk, “I have to realize that, for some time, the heavy work load has been damaging to my health.”

As of Jan. 1, the group executive board will comprise Nils S. Andersen, Claus V. Hemmingsen, Eivind Kolding, S'ren Skou, Jakob Thomasen and Westlie.
