ABF APPOINTS PIRPICH VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING AND PRICING
ABF Freight System has appointed Gerald Pirpich to vice president of marketing and pricing, starting Feb. 1.
In this position, Pirpich will manage the Fort Smith, Ark.-based trucking company’s yield management, market strategy, advertising, public relations and freight bill rating activities. He will fill the role vacated by Bob Davidson, who was recently named ABF’s president and chief executive officer, effective Feb. 1.
Pirpich joined ABF in 1966 as a dispatcher. He has held numerous positions at the firm. Pirpich became director of pricing for ABF in 1982.
