ABF expands to South America

   ABF Global Supply Chain Services has expanded to South America, offering single-contract full-containerload and expedited less-than-containerload services to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.
   ABF also recently announced ocean coverage in Europe and Asia as part of its overall growth strategy.
   The company’s goal of reaching 96 percent of the total U.S. international shipping market will be achieved by the end of 2013, according to ABF’s Carlos Martinez-Tomatis.
   “With an established presence in Europe, China, India and Southeast Asia countries, South America is a natural extension of our global coverage,” he said in a statement. “ABF Global now covers nearly 90 percent of the total ocean international market to and from the United States.”
   ABF’s complete line of solutions — including rerouting capabilities — will be offered to these new locations. – Jon Ross
