Abu Dhabi added to SMX service
The three carriers operating the South China/Middle East express service have added a new port to the service's rotation, the carriers said Monday.
The service, operated jointly by Hanjin, Coscon and 'K' Line, will add Abu Dhabi beginning Feb. 22. Growing trade demand between Asia and the Middle Eastern port prompted the change.
The new port rotation is Yantian (Thursday/Thursday), Hongkong (Thursday/Friday), Singapore (Monday/Tuesday), Dubai, Jebel Ali (Wednesday/Thursday), Abu Dhabi (Thursday/Friday), Bandar Abbas (Friday/Saturday), Singapore (Sunday/Sunday), and Yantian (Thursday/Thursday).
The SMX has a transit time of 12, 13 and 14 days between South China and Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bandar Abbas, respectively.
