ABX settles price-fixing suit

ABX Logistics Worldwide, now part of DSV, has settled in a class action lawsuit alleging anti-competitive practices for $3.5 million.
According to Financial Recovery Services, the class action lawsuit involves 63 freight forwarders who allegedly conspired to fix, maintain or raise prices of forwarding services. The firm states shippers who purchased services directly from a forwarder starting in January 2001 may be a party to the lawsuit. The settlement fund is listed at $101 million, and the filing deadline is Nov. 22.
ABX is the fourth freight forwarding company to reach a settlement in the case. – Jon Ross
