ACE truck manifest runs in New York
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said it has completed the installation at all New York border crossings of computer systems to process electronic manifest filing by truck drivers.
The truck e-manifest system is now in place along southern and most northern border ports of entry. Truckers can transmit the manifest online through the Automated Commercial Environment’s Secure Portal or through EDI transmissions. CBP plans to make advance electronic filing of the manifest mandatory in 2007.
