The terminal will be the only one at the port able to load post-Panamax and Capesize vessels.
ADM, of Decatur, Ill., said the port terminal will export corn, soy, wheat and soybean meal from Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay and Brazil. It will have storage capacity of 180,000 metric tons. It is expected to handle 2.8 million metric tons of goods in its first year of operation.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in March 2013.
