Aeroflot Cargo to add MD-11s
Aeroflot has contracted Boeing Co. to convert two MD-11 passenger planes into freighters, the U.S. plane maker said Thursday.
The planes can carry up to 92.3 tons of cargo.
The Russian airline currently operates four DC-10 freighters. Aeroflot Cargo also has agreed to lease three more MD-11 converted freighters from Boeing Capital Corp. by the end of next year.
