AEW Europe will merge its three existing logistics funds to create a 1 billion euro pan-European logistics platform.
AEW said the new fund will be one of the largest logistics investment portfolios in Europe.
The firm also noted the logistics market has been undergoing a large consolidation in recent years and believes companies will try to minimize the number of partners they have in the space.
The strategy of AEW’s logistics fund is to invest in logistics platforms of national and metropolitan distribution centers. AEW plans to focus its activities in France, Germany and the Benelux countries.
