AGCS launches new logistics unit in North America

Allianz Group’s dedicated carrier for corporate and specialty insurance business, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, launched a dedicated transportation and logistics unit in North America today.    Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) launched a dedicated transportation and logistics unit in North America today, which will provide rail, motor truck cargo, warehouse and related property coverage solutions, the global insurer said.
   The department will become part of the Inland Marine division, which serves a variety of clients ranging from local haulers and warehouse operations to logistics firms and large international carriers.
   “As a leader in the Inland Marine space, AGCS understands the spectrum of challenges faced by transportation and logistics companies, and our underwriters and claims professionals will focus on delivering real-time solutions needed to perform in this rapidly growing sector,” AGCS Inland Marine Global Product Leader Helen Leonard said in a statement.
   AGCS, which is Allianz Group’s dedicated carrier for corporate and specialty insurance business, is equipped to serve clients in over 160 countries across the whole spectrum of marine, aviation and corporate business.
