Agility opens Cambodia office

Global logistics company Agility has begun operations in Cambodia, opening its first office in the capital Phnom Penh, the company said Monday.

'Agility Cambodia will offer services to both locally based and network customers operating in Cambodia, with a range of air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing and local distribution solutions,' the company said in a statement. 'A cross-border trucking service initially connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh and Bangkok to Phnom Penh will be available, followed by services linking South China and Vietnam. Agility Cambodia will also focus on other key sectors including project logistics in the oil and gas sector and fairs and events.'

The company said international trade to North America is increasing significantly, with 60 percent of the country's textile production headed to the United States. Most of the country's imports are from neighbors Thailand and Vietnam.

Agility has appointed Phang Sovong as general manager, Cambodia.
