Agility opens logistics hub near Kuala Lumpur
Agility said Monday it has opened a 13,000-square-meter logistics hub between Kuala Lumpur and Klang, Malaysia's biggest port.
The new facility increases the company's total warehousing capacity in Malaysia to more than 34,000 square meters.
The new hub, in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, has 12 loading docks and 14,000 pallet positions and dedicated areas for pick-and-pack, kitting-to-line operations, consolidation and deconsolidation, cross docking, and reverse logistics. It will also become the new headquarters for Agility in Malaysia.
The hub is 45 minutes from the two main container terminals in Klang as well as Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Target industries for the facility will be apparel, chemicals, engineering and industrial equipment and telecommunications, the company said.
